How do I contact LMS?

Does it matter what age I am?
No, we welcome students of all ages (16+) and all levels of experience.
When are you open?
6 days a week. 51 weeks a year (we close for 1 week over Christmas).
Where can I find your course dates?
Unlike most schools, we can be flexible with our dates and our courses run throughout the year. Please contact us for our next available dates. If you have specific dates in mind, let us know!
Can I visit the school?
Yes, we ask for all visits to be booked in advance to ensure tutors are available. Please contact us to arrange a visit.
Can I study part time?
Yes, we offer flexible days and evening classes.
Am I ready to work within the makeup industry on completion?
Upon successful completion of any course you will receive full certification from LMS which will allow you to go and find work within the industry.
Can I get insurance on completion of my course?
Insurance is available to purchase from Professional Beauty Direct (please contact Professional Beauty Direct to check eligibility, terms and conditions). Insurance is available from CThA for ITEC courses.
Do I need to bring my own kit?
No, we have everything available at the school for you to complete your course. You are welcome to bring a pen and note pad if you wish to take notes during your course.
Do I need to bring my own model?
No, we will provide models, however on occasions you will be required to work on each other. You are more than welcome to bring your own model if you so wish.
Are there any entry requirements?
No, we provide courses for complete beginners to advanced professional level. All of our courses are tailored to your abilities.
Do you provide accommodation?
No, but please contact us for information on hotels near to our school.
What are your class sizes?
We have a maximum class size of 5 students. In 2010, 98% of our classes were 1 on 1 tutoring. There is no other school in the industry providing this service.
Do you help with finding work after the course?
We ask all students to join our Facebook group (London Hair and Beauty) where opportunities are constantly posted onto our wall by employers and private clients.
Do I pay VAT on the course price?
Yes, all courses are subject to 20% VAT.
How do I pay for the course?
A 20% deposit via credit/debit card is applicable on all bookings. Any remaining fees are to be paid via bank transfer a week before your course commences, on in cash on the first day of your course.
We have payment plans available for some of our courses; please contact us for more details.
How do I enrol for a course?
Once you have decided which course you would like to book and read the terms and conditions below, please call us on 0207 993 8101, or email us requesting a booking form. You will be required to make a 20% deposit at the time of booking. You will then be emailed confirmation details, along with an initial assessment form. Please complete and email this form back to us. You will also be sent a joining letter (this will be sent a week before your course commences if paying via bank transfer).
Can I enrol if I am an international student?
We welcome international students! Unfortunately we do not participate in the visa process. However, we can provide confirmation letters once we have received a deposit payment for your course. The enrolment process is the same for all students.
Can I get funding to help pay for the courses?
As we are a private training school, it is the student’s responsibility to apply for funding.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Payment
A student is accepted for enrolment once a 20% deposit payment has been received. This deposit payment is non-refundable, but may be transferred to another course/date at London Hair & Beauty Ltd’s discretion.
Full course fees must be paid by the first day of the course (via bank transfer a week before the course commences, or in cash on the first day of the course), unless a payment plan or other method of payment is previously agreed. London Hair & Beauty Ltd reserves the right to refuse a course if full payment has not been received.
All course fees are subject to 20% VAT.
Course fees do not include travel, accommodation, beverages or meals.
- Cancellations
Students must provide sufficient notice for all cancellations.
All cancellations must be made in writing (via email or letter sent recorded delivery). All phone cancellations must also be followed up with an email or letter sent recorded delivery.
In the event of cancellation by the student, deposit payments will not be refunded and London Hair & Beauty Ltd reserves the right to charge 100% of course fees. In the event of a rebooking there will be a charge of up to £100 dependant upon course plus an admin charge of £12.
Should the course be cancelled by London Hair & Beauty Ltd due to unforeseen circumstances, bad weather, terrorism or act of God, then London Hair & Beauty Ltd would not refund students. An alternative course date will be offered.
- Attendance
Students are required to attend all dates of their course. If students fail to attend any part of their course for any reason, London Hair & Beauty Ltd will not offer refunds. Catch up dates are at the discretion of London Hair & Beauty Ltd and subject to availability.
Students should arrive on time, as stated on their joining letter. Students should contact London Hair & Beauty Ltd at the earliest opportunity if they cannot arrive on time.
London Hair & Beauty Ltd reserves the right to withhold certificates for poor attendance.
Absence should be avoided wherever possible. Any time off for personal reasons, religious holidays, etc. must be discussed and agreed before booking.
- General
Students are expected to look presentable and professional at all times and maintain a professional manner.
All rooms are to be kept in a clean and tidy manner. Students who cause any damages to London Hair & Beauty Ltd’s property will be held responsible and charged appropriately.
Theft will not be tolerated and will result in immediate termination of all classes and no refund given.
Students should not remove any property from the school without prior consent.
If translators are required, they must be arranged and paid for by the student. London Hair & Beauty Ltd must be notified of translator’s attendance at time of booking.
Any personal belongings at the premises are left at the students own risk. London Hair & Beauty Ltd accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage.
London Hair & Beauty Ltd reserves the right to change courses, dates, examination dates, examination locations, course content and fees without any prior notice.
If a student fails to attend an examination for any reason, London Hair & Beauty Ltd is not obliged to offer the next available exam date.
Students who fail assessments due to poor attendance and negligence of coursework/homework will be asked to pay for any extra classes needed in order for them to pass their assessments. London Hair & Beauty Ltd are not liable for this extra cost.
London Hair & Beauty Ltd accepts no liability for adverse affects or issues related to products which students have not trained with. This includes any changes to product content or if products are discontinued by their manufacturer after training.
London Hair & Beauty Ltd accepts no liability for treatments that students perform after training is completed. All students are advised to make sure they have both personal and public liability insurance before utilising knowledge gained at London Hair & Beauty Ltd.
London Hair & Beauty Ltd cannot be held responsible for any external links/websites or their content.
All terms and conditions are accepted by students upon booking any courses.
