As part of the LGFB national team of volunteers you can do exactly that. Help people combat the visible and often psychological side effects of treatment by volunteering at the LGFB specially designed skincare and make-up Workshops for women or skincare and grooming Workshops for men.
You can make a real different to someone’s life by volunteering your time and expertise as many times a year as you are able – even if it’s only once or twice, it all helps. The team at LGFB would be delighted to talk to you about this and in the first instance, would invite you along to observe a Workshop. You would be under no pressure to get involved at your ‘taster’ session which will provide you with an opportunity to see first-hand the charity’s work and for you to decide whether helping out a few times a year is definitely for you.
To register your interest, please do one of the following:

Look Good Feel Better will then contact you to discuss what’s involved and arrange a convenient time for you to attend.

Here is a quote from an existing Look Good Feel Better volunteer:
“Volunteering means so much to me. Being able to do what I absolutely love whilst helping so many inspirational women is incredible – it’s the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. To see the confidence shine from the women at the end of the session is so fulfilling. I’m just a small part of a huge journey in these women’s lives and giving her those few hours of my time to make her smile and feel feminine again is priceless. I would recommend anyone thinking of getting involved to sign up now.”
Our Beth Margetts is a regular LGFB volunteer and here is some feedback received following a recent LGFB Workshop at Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood that Beth attended:
“Had great fun! I was feeling very low before I came into the Workshop. After putting on make-up, I feel so much better! My mood has completely changed. Amazing. Thank you so much! Beth was absolutely amazing! Very friendly!”
If you want to help people in the same way as Beth does, give the team at LGFB a call for chat. You might well find attending one of their Workshops to be a very fulfilling experience.
